I know I haven't posted in a long time and there is good reason for that. It all started with Jacob's birthday. I told myself that it wouldn't be as big as last year but then the overachieving side of me kicked in and kicked my behind into gear. WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF?!! We added more tracks and things to his train table for his birthday present and that alone took Jeff and I 8 hours (the night before) to complete. Then, I hurt my neck in August and and I was having horrible migraines so I was out of commission for a while. Once I started feeling better I had a lot of laundry, cleaning, bill paying, email, etc. to attend to. Everything in between was pure lazyness.
So, now I have decided to stop therapy mostly because my insurance deductible started over in January and I do not have an extra $300.00 a week to spend on therapy. Even if I did, I could think of better ways to spend some cash. It is back to the gym for me and my New Year's Resolution - organizing. Wait, what am I saying, I organize all of the time. My dream is to have every draw and closet perfectly organized like the container store and live happily ever after. Ok, now I woke up.
Jacob is growing up so fast that I just want to press the pause button. He loves to play the Disney CARS game on the XBOX. When you are racing the cars, the right trigger button is to boost the cars to go faster. So, the other day we were driving to the gym and he said "mommy, which pedal is for the gas and which one is for the brake." I told him that the one on the right was for the gas and the one on the left was for the brake. Then he asked me "but which one is for the boost?" I cracked up and then explained that cars don't have them and that you can only do that on the game at home. Then he tells me that he thinks that daddy's car has one but I said no, daddy just drives like there is.
